A database is the ideal tool to manage a league for football, darts, baseball or
whatever. Usually the fixture format is for each team in the league to play another
team each week so that over a period of weeks every team has played every other
team. The pattern is then repeated for the second half of the season so that every
team has an equal number of home and away games.

The difficult part is allocating fixtures for each week especially when there are
many teams in the league. The computer can do this but writing the code for this
task is not easy. This Fixtures Generator Demo program shows a method that will
automatically allocate team fixtures for a league with between 6 and 26 teams. The
VBA code module can easily be imported into your program so that you can use
the code in your own project.
