Specialties: Access, Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Camtasia, HTML, Windows Phone (XAML, C#)

I do remote training and programming with great success and would be happy to help you.  I connect to your computer -- you see what I do and I see what you do, and we talk -- I am virtually there <smile>

I teach Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Windows Phone development, Camtasia, and more -- from beginning to advanced, using and programming,  one-on-one and in classrooms, remote and face-to-face.  I can use curricula that is available on the market or YOUR DATA.  I am totally flexible, whatever is best for you.

I have been building databases for 29 years -- and working in Access for 18 of them. I have developed hundreds, maybe thousands of applications.

I also work very deeply with Excel, stand-alone and inputting to/reporting from Access.  I have a 1-hour class on moving and selecting that I usually start with no matter what level of Excel I am teaching -- even many Excel power-users do not know all the fastest ways to do these things.

I have written several books with Word.  I can teach you how how to use dynamic text, get information from other places, create dyanamic table of contents, lists of figures, indexes ... I've been using Word since the mid-80's, before it was even a Windows application.

I have also used PowerPoint for years -- to create presentations, brochures, flyers, graphics, and video.  I live in a technical world but am also a songwriter and artist, photographer and videographer, a lover of all things made of wood, appreciator of art in any form, ... so I really like creative programs like PowerPoint!

I can teach you how to make videos using Camtasia, which I have used for 3 years (15 years video production experience).

My standard approach to building an application is to work very closely with you during the development.   Using the internet, we share a desktop, which enables us to see the same screen (remote desktop) on your computer.  My keyboard and mouse work as if they were attached directly to your computer.  I see what is on your monitor while we are connected and everything that I do can be seen by you.  Also, work resides on the your computer, so you already have it.

The advantages of this approach are several.  For me, I get questions answered right away so there is no waiting and that makes my time more effective.  You have the business knowledge and I have skills with Access.  You learn as we go.  By seeing what is done, understanding is greater which makes the project easier for you to support and change down the road.  My goal is to guide and pass on.  I want you to be able to do what is needed – then you can call me in for help with the tough tasks, or the ones you do not have the time to complete before your deadlines.

I look forward to learning more about you and your goals.

Here are 3 chapters on a book I started writing to learn how to program with VBA:

I have 2 channels on YouTube where you can see how I teach (I drew all the graphics down to the pencils :) and also view great video tutorials by others on my playlists:

This is a good video for beginners to computers as well as Access.  It is an excellent 10-minute overview of what is going on with technology:
