ReportBorders Updated On 18-Dec-2011 Explanatory Notes
This sample database demonstrates a simplified approach for creation of Inner & Outer borders for Access reports. Insertion of blank rows after last record, is also demonstrated.
Following styles are covered: (a) Report With Outer Borders (b) Report With Border Grid - Spreadsheet Style (Vertical and horizontal inner borders along with outer border) (c) Blank Rows After Last Record - Fixed Height of Report Header / Footer (d) Blank Rows After Last Record - Dynamic Height (Can Grow = Yes) of Report Header / Footer
Important - For style (b) above: (a) KeepTogether property of detail section should be set to Yes, so as to prevent the possibility of missing top detail line at start of a new page (caused by spill over of detail section across two pages). (b) It has to be ensured that report header section has a discreet height (more than zero). Otherwise, report header print event won't fire.
Note: Style (d) above, involves two stage opening of report and makes use of Stephan Leban's function fTurnPage().
